 Tuesday, April 1st - Finally, more progress to show. One half
of the ceiling boards are up.

 Tuesday, Feb 5 - Dad has framed in the windows and
doors on the deck.

 Wednesday, Jan 30 - The concrete patio in front
of the lower level. That's Dad down there cutting
wood for the framing.

 Wednesday, Jan 30- After being gone since November,
we are back and work continues. This shows the concrete
walk.

 Friday, Oct 12 - the roof is finished, the windows are
all in except for two that are the wrong size. We've
got plywood up over those two holes. We are
un-officially "dried in".

 Wednesday, Oct 10 - fall is in full swing. This is
the view to the east. I realize that this isn't a
"progress" photo, but it is so pretty now I really
wanted to share it.
Tuesday , Oct 9 - the metal roof is almost finished,
some of the windows are in, too.

 Sunday, Oct 7 - the fireplace is finished
Stone facing on foundation done!
 Monday, Oct 1 - the stone facing on the foundation is
complete!

 Thursday, Sept 27 - view to the west from the front porch,
this photo also shows the tongue and groove paneling on
the ceiling of the porch. The fireplace will be installed
the first week of October and will go about where the
logs are on the right in the photo.

 Thursday, Sept 20 - front stairs are in with part of
their railing, and the stone facing has been started.

 Wednesday, Sept 12 - railings along deck are being
added

Friday, Sept 7 - the roof over the front porch has been
covered and tar-papered.

 Thursday, Sept 6 - the front porch is on and almost finished.
The roof over the front porch has been started.
Tar Paper and stairs
 Friday, Aug 31 - the boards and tar paper are on the
roof now and the "back" stairway is up. No more climbing
up the ladder!
Trusses up
 Monday, Aug 27 - the trusses are up. This picture was
taken on the inside looking out the east side.

Wednesday, Aug 22 - the trusses have arrived.

This was quite an adventure. They are 42 feet long.
The truck bed was something like 30 feet long. A
small locust tree was lashed to the top of the trusses
that hung off the back to keep them from sagging.

Walls Finished
 Now the walls are finished and awaiting trusses.

 Monday, Aug 20 - The decking is down.

 Thursday, Aug 16 - Yesterday they dug the footings for
the deck. Today the deck was started. The deck is on the
west side of the house. The "sunset" deck.

 Tuesday, Aug 14 - Almost to the top of the walls now.

Monday, Aug 13 - More logs.
Friday, Aug 10

Friday, Aug 10th - it's been really hot here. 96
yesterday, 92 today. The builders came early and
left early. Most of today's work was on the windows.

like this every morning. Most days it doesn't clear
up until about 10 a.m.
