It's winter in the mountains and the weather is cold. Highs near 30, lows in the 20s. We occasionally ask ourselves why it was that we moved here from Key West. "Too many people and too much concrete", the mantra. And too many hurricanes.

This winter has been by far the coldest in our 3 winters here. And way more snow. Ian even bought a snow shovel!

Life is pretty good here in Green Mountain. Ian continues working in an internal medicine practice in the nearby town of Spruce Pine. And he works more than full time on all that is involved with living in the mountains. Susan still paints and occasionally works on websites. click here for susan's art website

We like to brag about the grand kids. There are 5 now. They are all beautiful and brilliant. <grin> Seriously, though, we have a 9 year old granddaughter and a almost 7 year old grandson in Texas. A 4 year old granddaughter in Arizona, and a 3 year old granddaughter and a 1 year old granddaughter in California. We got to see them all this past Thanksgiving. What a treat that was!
